Where Did You Meet TYPO3?
Ahaaa, Love in TYPO3? I met TYPO3 in middle of 2007!
Since a long time, I personally like European products/service (like cars & culture), so I searched IT demands within the European region. My personal interest was PHP. With searching ‘CMS’ based on PHP, TYPO3 came up in Google — Hurray! But TYPO3 was thousands miles from India.
Compare to any other CMS at that time (eg., Joomla), I was really surprised seeing some awesome backend screenshots of TYPO3 . The page tree, user access & roles (feel like Linux), CRUD management etc. was all very impressive!
To be frank, starting the journey with TYPO3 was very difficult (escpecially TypoScript, because as learner it felt as a kind of programming language — Haha). The language barrier also posed somewhat of a problem. Most help & support were in German language (of course hugely improved currently). Unfortunately, I dropped it for 3/4 years. But then, with more patience & passion — I’ve started own company as TYPO3 Agency at 2011.
Progressing week by week & lots practices — I feel the real beauty of TYPO3!
